According to Nikkei, the combined shipment volume of mobile telephones of eight Japanese companies, including Sanyo and NEC, will reach an amount of 81 million units in 2005, growth of 10.9% in comparison with 2004. NEC plans to export approximately 6.5 million units to foreign markets. Shipment to China will reach three million units, growth of 200%.Sanyo expects export volume of mobile phones and electrical appliances in general grow by 44%.
